“Say To Wisdom, Thou Art My Sister” is a series of six vase paintings and two face paintings.

The works are inspired by the treasured women in my life, which bring into form new understandings. I paint them as vessels as a celebration of personality growth and the potency of paint.

The six vase paintings are named after translations or literal meanings of women's names, while the two face paintings represent masculine identity.

My paintings come from an experience of joy as it is animated through the body, and from the mysticism of a lived life in the material world – the union of which is alluded to in paint & canvas.
