In respect to honoring a sort of an appropriated approach to both, Rothko and Mondrian; I started with the basic idea in creating a rich in depth background base, while at the same time wanting to do so in a respectful and coherent way. As for wanting to morph Mondrian’s and Rothko’s artistic essence into a personal appropriation of them flashes of ideas rushed into my thoughts. At that moment the sun suddenly shadowed a beautiful crossing pattern of a “natural Mondrian” onto my canvas. I quickly began to draw the shapes lightly with a gray color pencil and continued so until satisfied with the result as I carried on toward making progress spontaneous and fast. I like how the paintings interact with me. I grasp intense of energy of Rothko and Mondrian so that I want to create the same emotions with my paintings as well. Because of that I felt to interact.
